Tree service · Tampa, FL
Independent Tree Service, Inc.
Founded in 1978, with ISA-certified arborists who recommend pruning over removal when a tree can be saved.
About Independent Tree Service, Inc.
Independent Tree Service has been working in Tampa since 1978, and the owner, Jerry Upcavage, is still involved. The company keeps several ISA-certified arborists on staff, one of them a Board Certified Master Arborist, so you get an arborist's opinion before any cutting starts. Reviewers often mention that the arborists recommend pruning or keeping trees when that's the better call, not just removal. Crews are described as polite and careful around decks, plants, and lawns, and they clean up debris before leaving. Customers also say the office and foremen return calls and keep them informed about arrival times. A few say the price runs a bit higher than the cheapest option, but most feel the work justifies it.
